Job Description

The Engineer of Failure Analysis will present findings to impacted stakeholders, communicate recommendations to T&D personnel, and assist in the development of mitigation measures. Conduct root cause investigation and failure analysis of failed equipment. Develop recommendation to mitigate and reduce the likelihood of failures. Recommendations could include, changes to design standards, work practices, material used, constructions standards and inspection criteria. Work with key Subject Matter Experts to drive for solutions to issues rising from standard updates. Undertake projects, multi-functional challenges that often require cross-functional teams. Engineering and economic analysis of various technical issues. Support in the development and mentoring of engineering interns and entry level engineers within the team. Create and maintain a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.

Job Qualifications
  • 5 years of Engineering experience

  • California P.E. License

  • Experience with T&D equipment and processes

  • Experience in leading and/or participating in cross-functional teams to address and solve business and engineering issues
