Clinical Data Abstractor

Performs and coordinates a variety of functions related to supporting public reporting, performance improvement and compliance. Develop, research, and educate staff on best-practice processes for complying with quality standards. Assists in data collection related to improvement activities as directed. As directed, collects, and compiles data for the NCDR/ACC registries (Action, ICD, CathPCI) and STS registry. Assist and educate teams, as appropriate, in the development and execution of action items, goals, and initiatives for improving clinical care. Assist in medical record/patient care reviews when requested. Monitors and evaluates the processes involved in delivering Quality care to patients. Demonstrates a willingness to attend educational programs related to position responsibilities
