Shipping Supervisor

The safety and health of employees take precedence over all duties of this job. Actively participate in the Sonoco SPS system as part of the Supply Chain Pillar team. Provide XPO Logistics with shipment details in their OTM system to arrange carriers. Overseeing incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and conditions of shipments. Meet daily with warehouse lead to determine proper schedule for carrier pick up times. Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow Determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules. Arranging transportation that optimizes service and cost. Manage OTIF with the divisional resource to ensure OTIF reporting accuracy. Work with production managers to eliminate internal non conformances. Inspecting loading operations to ensure compliance with specifications. Manage the documentation of locked and sealed shipments to verify that proper procedures have been followed. Ensure the shipping area is organized according to the 5S guidelines.
