Machinery Development Technician

We are looking for a Machinery Development Technician to join the Sonoco team and help drive our machinery development initiatives to the next level. This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can think on their feet. We want an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented to join our team and help us reach our business objectives.To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You should have a strong understanding of the principles of engineering, mechanics, and hydraulics. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in machinery development. You must be comfortable working with computer-aided design software. You should also have a working knowledge of industrial robots and automated systems. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain machinery to ensure efficient production of products
2. Design and implement modifications to existing machinery to improve performance and reduce costs
3. Create electrical and mechanical schematics for machinery

5. Install and maintain automated and robot systems
6. Monitor and test automation and machinery performance

10. Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing personnel
