Job Description

Manage the technical integration of commercial projects, working with suppliers, plants and customers assuring performance criteria are met. Responsible for planning projects and meeting work objectives, time, and budget constraints on projects under his/her supervision. Originates ideas, conducts independent research and development and stimulates those working with him/her to contribute ideas. Implement the R&D product innovation and technology strategy around areas of strategic focus. Work with the Product Development Manager on the prioritization and execution of all new development initiatives working with marketing and the business unit. Develop comprehensive project charters, including scope, plans, timing, resources, and budgets. Execute to plan, formalizing scope changes when appropriate. Maintain complete and accurate records of all projects under his/her supervision. Provide summary reports with conclusions and recommendations. Manage project spending and maintain budget compliance.

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of Research and Development professional level II or equivalent as determined by R&D management

  • Ability to work very effectively with limited direction on multiple high priority programs

  • Passionate about the end user experience and ability to translate these needs into compelling design

  • Experience leading R&D programs from concept to commercialization
