Technical Designer: Apparel

Skechers USA is looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Designer to join our Apparel team. This is a highly detail-oriented role responsible for managing and developing a complete technical package from concept to production. As a Technical Designer, you must be able to communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and factories to ensure all products are developed correctly and meet Skechers expectations. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for the apparel industry. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively to support the product development process.To be successful in this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Technical Designer in the apparel industry, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a deep understanding of technical specifications and design. In addition, you must have a deep knowledge of fabric composition, garment construction, grading, and fit standards. Experience with PLM software and a degree in fashion design is a plus.
