- Develop and execute innovative color, material, and graphic designs for Skechers footwear that align with the brand vision and target diverse customer demographics.
- Lead special design projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to inform and inspire design decisions.
- Conduct trend forecasting and translate insights into actionable design concepts that drive customer engagement and brand loyalty.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, including senior management, for feedback and approval.
- Supervise and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and support in their design process and career development.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that designs are feasible for production and meet cost and quality targets.
- Manage and maintain the color and material library, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for design and production teams.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to stay updated on emerging technologies, materials, and design techniques.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and push the boundaries of design excellence for Skechers footwear.
Extensive Experience In Design: A Senior Cmg Designer - Special Projects At Skechers Should Possess A Strong Background In Design, With A Minimum Of 5-7 Years Of Experience In The Footwear Industry. This Should Include Experience In Trend Research, Concept Development, And Creating Innovative Designs.
Strong Knowledge Of Color, Materials, And Graphics: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have An In-Depth Understanding Of Color Theory, Materials, And Graphics, And How They Can Be Used To Create Visually Appealing And Commercially Viable Shoe Designs. They Should Also Be Able To Stay Up-To-Date With The Latest Color And Material Trends In The Industry.
