- Manage product specifications, including materials, construction, and design details, to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure production timelines are met and products meet quality standards.
- Conduct regular product testing and provide feedback to improve product performance and functionality.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as designers, merchandisers, and sales teams, to gather feedback and incorporate it into product development.
- Assist in managing product cost and margin targets by identifying cost-saving opportunities and negotiating with suppliers.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the footwear industry.
- Maintain accurate and organized product development documentation, including product sketches, prototypes, and specifications.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the success of products in the market and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and compliance standards related to product development.
- Act as a brand ambassador by representing Skechers USA and its values to external partners and customers.
Bachelor's Degree In Marketing, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Product Development Or Related Field In The Footwear Or Apparel Industry.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Product Development Processes, Including Market Analysis, Concept Creation, And Product Design.
Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Cross-Functional Teams.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Product Development Software, Such As Adobe Creative Suite And Plm Systems.
