As a Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced designers and gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of footwear design.   1. Assist senior designers in creating innovative and stylish footwear designs for athletes and active individuals.
  2. Conduct market research and stay updated on current trends in the athletic and performance footwear industry.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance and functional requirements.
  4. Create detailed sketches and technical drawings of designs.
  5. Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions to develop new design concepts.
  6. Assist in the creation of prototypes and samples.
  7. Communicate and present design ideas to team members and stakeholders.
  8. Ensure all designs adhere to Skechers USA's brand guidelines and standards.
  9. Attend and participate in design meetings and product development discussions.
  10. Maintain organized design files and documentation.
  11. Continuously learn and develop new skills in footwear design and manufacturing.
  12. Take direction and feedback from senior designers to improve design skills.
  13. Contribute to the overall success of the design team by completing tasks and projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  14. Uphold a positive and professional attitude while representing Skechers USA.

  • Knowledge And Passion For Performance/Sport: A Design Intern At Skechers Usa Must Have A Strong Understanding And Interest In The World Of Performance And Sport. This Includes Knowledge Of Current Trends, Materials, And Technologies Used In Athletic Footwear And Apparel.

  • Proficiency In Design Software: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In Design Software Such As Adobe Creative Suite And Have Experience With 3D Modeling Software. This Will Allow Them To Effectively Communicate Their Design Ideas And Create Detailed Mockups.

  • Creativity And Innovation: A Design Intern Must Possess A High Level Of Creativity And Be Able To Think Outside The Box. They Should Be Able To Come Up With Fresh And Innovative Ideas For New Performance/Sport Products That Align With The Brand's Aesthetic.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Design Intern, It Is Crucial To Have A Keen Eye For Detail And A Strong Understanding Of How Small Design Elements Can Impact The Overall Product. This Includes Color, Materials, And Construction Details.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate Ideas And Collaborate With Others Is Essential For A Design Intern At Skechers Usa. They Must Be Able To Articulate Their Design Concepts And Work Well Within A Team Environment To Bring Them To Life.
