Payroll Accountant

We are seeking to hire a dynamic and versatile Payroll Accountant who will be responsible for processing all aspects of a bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for non-union employees and weekly multi-state payroll for union employees. Prepare and process biweekly payroll for over 3,500 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions. Coordinate efforts between payroll, human resources, budget and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data including preparation/distribution of detailed reports. Prepare month-end journals and reporting integrating to the financial system.
