Senior Counsel, Leasing

As Senior Counsel, Leasing at Simon Property Group, you will be a key member of our legal team and will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support to our Leasing team. You'll be expected to draft, review, and negotiate lease documents and other documents related to commercial real estate leasing.We are looking for a professional with superior legal skills and experience in real estate law. You should have a JD from an accredited law school, be licensed to practice law in the state in which you will work, and have at least 5 years of experience in real estate law. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.If you have a proven ability to work autonomously, are detail-oriented, and have a passion for providing sound legal advice, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and negotiate lease documents and other documents related to commercial real estate leasing.
2. Provide legal counsel and support to the Leasing team.
3. Maintain knowledge of current real estate law and trends.
4. Work autonomously and act as a team player.
5. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Provide sound legal advice and be detail-oriented.
7. Maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
9. Monitor changes in real estate law and advise the Leasing team of any necessary actions.
10. Represent the company in court, if necessary.
