  1. Provide expert legal advice and guidance in the complex world of finance within the real estate industry.
  2. Utilize strong knowledge and experience in finance law to support and guide the company's financial decisions.
  3. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and laws related to finance and provide timely updates and recommendations to the company.
  4. Advise on legal implications and risks of financial transactions and contracts.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams, including finance and accounting, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  6. Conduct thorough research and analysis to support legal decisions and strategies.
  7. Draft, review, and negotiate various financial agreements and contracts.
  8. Provide oversight and direction to junior legal team members on finance-related matters.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and other industry professionals.
  10. Represent the company in legal proceedings related to finance matters.
  11. Communicate complex legal concepts and advice to non-legal colleagues and stakeholders.
  12. Continuously strive for excellence and innovation within the finance legal department.
  13. Uphold the company's values and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
  14. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the company through legal expertise and strategic thinking.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Financial Management: A Senior Counsel, Finance At Simon Property Group Must Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing Complex Financial Transactions, Conducting Financial Analysis, And Developing Strategic Financial Plans. They Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Financial Management, Preferably In The Real Estate Industry.

  • Strong Legal Background: As A Senior Counsel, Finance, The Candidate Must Have A Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree And Be Admitted To The Bar In The State Where The Position Is Located. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Corporate And Real Estate Finance Law, As Well As Experience In Negotiating And Drafting Complex Legal Agreements.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: The Senior Counsel, Finance Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Legal And Financial Professionals. Therefore, They Should Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Mentorship, And Foster A Collaborative Work Environment.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: In Addition To Managing The Day-To-Day Legal And Financial Operations, The Senior Counsel, Finance Must Also Possess Strong Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities. They Should Be Able To Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities, Develop Creative Solutions, And Make Data-Driven Decisions To Drive The Company's Financial Success.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Member Of The Company's Leadership Team, The Senior Counsel, Finance Must Have Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Financial And Legal Concepts To Non-Experts, Build And Maintain Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders, And Represent The Company In A Professional And Ethical Manner.
