Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a member of our shipping and receiving department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our stores receive and distribute merchandise accurately and efficiently. If you have a passion for organization, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you!

  1. Accurately receive and inspect incoming merchandise from vendors.
  2. Organize and label merchandise for efficient storage and distribution.
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems accordingly.
  4. Communicate with vendors and other team members to resolve any shipping or receiving discrepancies.
  5. Prepare merchandise for outbound shipments, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
  6. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move and transport merchandise.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
  8. Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
  9. Follow safety procedures and guidelines when handling merchandise and operating equipment.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise to stores.
  11. Complete shipping and receiving paperwork and maintain records as required.
  12. Identify and report any damaged or defective merchandise.
  13. Keep track of backordered merchandise and ensure timely arrival and distribution.
  14. Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
