- Identify and investigate any suspicious activities or behaviors that may lead to loss or theft.
- Conduct regular audits of merchandise to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies and procedures.
- Train and educate store employees on loss prevention techniques and procedures.
- Use surveillance equipment and technology to monitor store activity and identify potential risks.
- Work closely with law enforcement agencies to report and handle any incidents of theft or fraud.
- Keep detailed records and documentation of all loss prevention activities and incidents.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Loss Prevention Associate At Shoe Carnival Should Have At Least A High School Education Or Equivalent, As This Job Requires A Basic Level Of Education To Understand Company Policies And Procedures.
Previous Experience In Loss Prevention: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience In Loss Prevention, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Ability To Identify And Prevent Theft And Fraud.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Loss Prevention Associate, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Store Employees To Address Any Potential Security Concerns. This Requires Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.
Attention To Detail: Attention To Detail Is Crucial For A Loss Prevention Associate, As They Are Responsible For Identifying And Documenting Any Suspicious Activities Or Discrepancies In Inventory. This Requires A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Accurately Report Findings.
