Husbandry Assistant

We’re looking for a talented Husbandry Assistant to join SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. As a Husbandry Assistant, you’ll work closely with our animal care teams to ensure that our animals’ health and well-being is top priority. You’ll need to have a passion for marine life and be comfortable working with a variety of species.To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of animal husbandry practices and be willing to learn more. You should have strong observational skills and be able to recognize any potential health issues. Responsibilities:

1. Assist animal care teams in providing top-notch care for a variety of species.
2. Monitor daily health and well-being of animals.
3. Identify potential health issues and report them to the appropriate staff members.
4. Help with cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures and habitats.
5. Work with other staff members and the public to ensure a safe and secure environment for animals.
6. Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
7. Participate in animal husbandry research projects.
8. Provide support in the event of an animal emergency.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest animal husbandry practices.
10. Maintain accurate records of animal care activities.
