Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and customer service-oriented individual to join the team as a Costume Shop Specialist at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment! The ideal candidate will be a team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for the creative process.The Costume Shop Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining costumes and props for SeaWorld’s theatrical shows. This individual must have excellent craftsmanship skills and a broad knowledge of textile design and construction. Knowledge of costume history, design, production, and maintenance is essential for this role.The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:• Proven experience in costume and prop design and construction• Comprehensive understanding of costume history, design, production, and maintenance• A keen eye for detail and a passion for the creative process• Excellent craftsmanship skills• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment• Ability to collaborate with other departmentsIf you have a passion for creating and maintaining theatrical costumes and props, then we want to hear from you! Responsibilities for the Costume Shop Specialist at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment:

  1. Design and construct costumes and props for SeaWorld’s theatrical shows.
  2. Ensure costumes and props are completed to high quality standards and meet the needs of the production.
  3. Maintain and repair existing costumes and props as needed.
  4. Research costume history, design, production, and maintenance as needed.
  5. Manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as wardrobe and technical, to ensure successful costumes and props are created.
  7. Act as a team player and support the creative process.
  8. Remain organized and detail-oriented.
  9. Provide excellent customer service.
