
Assistant Production Editor
Scholastic is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Production Editor to join our in-house publishing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that books and other texts are prepared for publication. The ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of the publishing industry. We’re looking for a team member who’s passionate about books, skilled in production processes, and excited to work with our dynamic publishing team. Responsibilities:
- Ensure books and other texts are prepared for publication in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitor the production process to ensure accuracy and quality of published material.
- Participate in the editorial and design process to ensure that books meet required standards.
- Collaborate with other members of the publishing team to ensure that all elements of production are completed effectively.
- Be up-to-date on industry trends and developments to ensure the highest quality of publications.
- Follow copyright regulations to ensure content is used appropriately.
- Proofread and edit manuscripts for grammar, punctuation, and accuracy.
- Ensure all materials are published on schedule.
- Manage and track production schedules and deadlines.
- Liaise with authors, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure that production standards are met.
Excellent Organizational Skills

Bachelor's Degree In English
Journalism
Proven Editing And Proofreading Experience
