Principal Usability Engineer

- Develop and implement human factors and usability strategies to guide the design and development of medical products.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to identify user needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure user-centered design principles are incorporated throughout the product development process.
- Analyze and interpret user feedback and data to inform design decisions.
- Create and maintain usability documentation, including user requirements, risk analyses, and usability test protocols.
- Facilitate usability workshops and training sessions to promote a user-centered mindset within the organization.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in human factors and usability engineering.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to human factors and usability in the healthcare industry.
- Mentor and coach junior usability engineers on best practices and techniques.
- Represent the company at conferences and industry events to share knowledge and expertise in human factors and usability.
Bachelor's Degree In Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Usability Engineering, User Research, And/Or Human-Centered Design.
Proficiency In User-Centered Design Principles And Methodologies, Including Usability Testing, Heuristic Evaluation, And User Surveys.
Strong Understanding Of Fda And Other Regulatory Requirements For Medical Device And Pharmaceutical Product Design.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
