  • Lead and execute biophysical characterization of large molecule therapeutics
  • Develop and optimize biophysical techniques for characterizing protein structures and interactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments and interpret data
  • Analyze and interpret complex biophysical data to identify key parameters and potential issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to biophysical characterization
  • Stay current with industry advancements and incorporate new techniques into research projects
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of experiments and results
  • Present findings and recommendations to project teams and senior management
  • Contribute to the development of new methods and protocols for biophysical characterization
  • Train and mentor junior scientists on biophysical techniques and data analysis
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards for laboratory safety and data integrity.

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree In Biophysics Or Related Field: A Principal Scientist In Biophysics At Sanofi Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In Biophysics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Or A Related Field. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Theoretical And Practical Knowledge To Lead And Manage Scientific Research Projects.

  • Extensive Experience In Biophysical Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Biophysical Techniques Such As X-Ray Crystallography, Nmr Spectroscopy, Mass Spectrometry, Etc. This Experience Should Include Method Development, Data Analysis, And Interpretation.

  • Strong Background In Drug Discovery And Development: Sanofi Is A Pharmaceutical Company, So It Is Crucial That The Principal Scientist Has A Strong Understanding Of The Drug Discovery And Development Process. This Includes Knowledge Of Target Identification, Lead Optimization, And Preclinical And Clinical Studies.

  • Demonstrated Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Scientist, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists And Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Project Management Skills Are Essential To Ensure The Success Of Research Projects.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Principal Scientist Will Be Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners, So Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Necessary. This Includes The Ability To Present Complex Scientific Data To A Non-Technical Audience And To Collaborate Effectively With Colleagues From Different Disciplines.
