- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical community in Western PA and Ohio.
- Act as a scientific expert and resource for healthcare professionals, providing accurate and up-to-date information on Sanofi's products and therapeutic areas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of medical strategies and initiatives.
- Keep abreast of the latest scientific and clinical developments in the pharmaceutical industry, and effectively communicate this information to KOLs and internal teams.
- Plan and conduct educational and promotional programs for KOLs and other healthcare professionals, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Identify and prioritize key medical and scientific research opportunities in the assigned territory, and provide support for these initiatives as needed.
- Attend and actively participate in relevant medical conferences and events to stay informed about industry trends and developments.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of interactions with KOLs and other healthcare professionals in the designated territory.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of medical communication plans for Sanofi's products.
- Serve as a liaison between Sanofi and the medical community, building and maintaining a positive and professional image for the company.
Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: A Medical Science Liaison (Msl) At Sanofi Must Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Life Science Field Such As Pharmacy, Medicine, Or Biology. An Advanced Degree Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Medical And Scientific Knowledge.
Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate For The Msl Role Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Healthcare Setting. This Will Help Them Understand The Medical Needs Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals, And Effectively Communicate Scientific Information To Them.
Strong Communication And Presentation Skills: As An Msl, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Opinion Leaders, Healthcare Professionals, And Internal Stakeholders. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills Are Essential For This Role.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Therapeutic Area: Sanofi Is A Pharmaceutical Company That Focuses On Developing Treatments For Various Diseases. As An Msl, The Candidate Must Have A Deep Understanding Of The Therapeutic Area They Will Be Working In, Such As Oncology, Immunology, Or Rare Diseases.
Ability To Travel: Msls Are Required To Travel Extensively Within Their Assigned Territory To Interact With Healthcare Professionals And Attend Scientific Conferences. Therefore, The Candidate Must Be Willing And Able To Travel Up To 70% Of The Time To Fulfill Their Duties Effectively.
