Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Sanofi is looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our company meets or exceeds environmental health and safety standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EHS, as well as a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures. We are seeking a professional individual who is able to work independently and collaboratively with other departments to ensure the safety of our staff and workplace, and to ensure we are in compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety regulations.We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the environmental health and safety field, and who is eager to contribute to a culture of safety within our organization.Required qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field• Working knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations• Proven experience developing and implementing safety and environmental programs• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures and programs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and workplace.
2. Monitor and evaluate workplace environment, health and safety conditions to identify potential risks and hazards.
3. Develop and maintain safety training programs for all staff.
4. Provide guidance, support and advice to staff and other departments on safety related issues.
5. Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure that all safety regulations are met.
6. Investigate any safety incidents and advise on necessary corrective action.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental health and safety regulations.
8. Provide assistance with emergency response preparedness and planning.
9. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure safety protocols are followed.
10. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation of safety activities.
