Maintains an awareness of industry developments through conferences, technical papers, patents, periodicals, and trade shows. Participate in and provide technical direction for long term planning of the application and system development. Prepares work instructions for other programmers/analysts. Supervises activities of and guides lower-level programmers/analysts Prepare and or directs preparation of application or system layout architecture, including flowcharts, user manuals, and training material. Plans and develops application test protocols Analyzes test data and reports to determine if applications meet functional and performance specifications. Monitors the performance of applications and initiates corrective action when required.
