We are seeking a highly experienced and driven individual to join our team as a Senior/Principal Administrative Support in our Washington, D.C. Office (WDCO). In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing administrative and operational support to our team in the nation's capital. Your expertise and attention to detail will be vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office and supporting our mission.   1. Provide administrative support to Sandia National Laboratories' Washington, D.C. Office (WDCO) team.
  2. Assist in the smooth functioning of the WDCO office by managing calendars, scheduling and coordinating meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
  3. Support the WDCO team by drafting and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  4. Serve as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including government agencies, partners, and vendors.
  5. Manage travel arrangements and expense reports for WDCO team members.
  6. Maintain and update records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  7. Coordinate and facilitate communication and information flow between WDCO and other Sandia National Laboratories' locations.
  8. Assist with budget management and tracking for WDCO operations.
  9. Proactively identify and address any administrative or operational issues or concerns.
  10. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions and decision-making processes.
  11. Stay updated on Sandia National Laboratories' policies and procedures, and ensure compliance within the WDCO office.
  12. Mentor and train junior administrative staff members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  13. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission and values of Sandia National Laboratories.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline administrative processes and procedures.
  15. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times and represent Sandia National Laboratories in a professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Administrative Support Roles, Preferably In A Government Or National Laboratory Setting.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks And Priorities Simultaneously.

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Interact With Individuals At All Levels.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office Suite And Other Relevant Software Programs.
