  1. Conduct research and analysis on various national security policy issues and provide recommendations to senior staff.
  2. Collaborate with team members to develop policy solutions that address current and emerging national security challenges.
  3. Participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops to stay current on national security policy developments and contribute to discussions.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners.
  5. Produce high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate complex policy issues to a variety of audiences.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of national security policy initiatives and projects.
  7. Stay informed on relevant legislation and regulations related to national security policy.
  8. Assist in the planning and execution of policy-related events, such as forums and workshops.
  9. Act as a subject matter expert on national security policy matters and provide guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
  10. Continuously develop and enhance knowledge and skills in national security policy through training, research, and professional development opportunities.
  11. Maintain a strong commitment to promoting the safety and security of our nation.
  12. Represent Sandia National Laboratories and the National Security Policy Fellowship program in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In National Security Policy: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In National Security Policy, International Relations, Or A Related Field Is Required For This Fellowship.

  • Experience In National Security: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background And Experience In National Security Policy, With A Focus On Issues Such As Defense, Intelligence, And Nuclear Weapons.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: The Fellowship Requires The Ability To Conduct In-Depth Research, Analyze Complex Data, And Develop Policy Recommendations.

  • Communication And Writing Skills: Fellows Must Have Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills, As They Will Be Expected To Produce High-Quality Reports And Briefings For A Variety Of Audiences.

  • Teamwork And Collaboration: The Fellowship Is A Highly Collaborative Environment, And Candidates Should Have Experience Working In A Team Setting And The Ability To Build Relationships With Diverse Groups Of Stakeholders.
