
Health Physicist - Internal Dosimetrist
At Sandia National Laboratories, we are looking for a Health Physicist - Internal Dosimetrist to join our team and help us continue to foster a culture of safety and security. The Health Physicist - Internal Dosimetrist will be responsible for ensuring that all personnel are monitored for radiation exposure and that the general public and environment are protected from radiation hazards. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of physics, radiation safety and monitoring principles and be able to effectively communicate these principles to others. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a health or medical physics-related field and at least five years of experience in radiation safety and monitoring. The successful candidate will also be an excellent problem solver, have strong communication skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Monitor all personnel for radiation exposure.
- Protect the general public and environment from radiation hazards.
- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of physics, radiation safety and monitoring principles.
- Effectively communicate radiation safety and monitoring principles to others.
- Develop and implement radiation safety and monitoring programs.
- Analyze data and create reports on radiation safety and monitoring.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve radiation safety and monitoring issues.
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and regulations.
- Communicate with stakeholders and other team members.
- Provide training on radiation safety and monitoring to personnel.
Ability To Work Independently And In A Team
Bachelor's Degree In Health Physics Or Related Field
Knowledge Of Internal Dosimetry Principles
Working Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Regulations
Knowledge Of Radiation Protection Instrumentation And Calibration
Experience In The Use Of Computers And Software Applications
