  1. Conduct cutting-edge research and analysis in the field of cybersecurity.
  2. Collaborate with team members in the Cyber Threat Center (5600) to identify and assess potential cyber threats.
  3. Develop and implement innovative solutions to protect Sandia National Laboratories' systems and networks from cyber attacks.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the cybersecurity industry.
  5. Utilize advanced tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential risks.
  6. Communicate findings and recommendations to management and other teams within the organization.
  7. Participate in the development and implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  8. Proactively monitor and assess the effectiveness of existing security measures and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Conduct research and analysis on emerging cyber threats and provide actionable insights to mitigate potential risk.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity matters and provide guidance and training to other team members.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and external partners to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies.
  12. Participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to continuously enhance knowledge and skills in cybersecurity.
  13. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  14. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to cybersecurity.

  • Strong Understanding Of Cyber Threats And Vulnerabilities: A Cybersecurity Researcher At Sandia National Laboratories Must Possess A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Latest Cyber Threats And Vulnerabilities In Order To Effectively Identify And Mitigate Potential Risks.

  • Proficiency In Cyber Threat Intelligence Analysis: The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Cyber Threat Intelligence Is A Crucial Skill For A Cybersecurity Researcher At Sandia National Laboratories. This Includes The Ability To Identify Emerging Threats And Develop Strategies To Counter Them.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices: A Cybersecurity Researcher Must Have Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices In Order To Ensure Compliance And Maintain A High Level Of Security Within The Organization.

  • Experience With Network Security Tools And Techniques: A Strong Understanding Of Network Security Tools And Techniques Is Essential For A Cybersecurity Researcher At Sandia National Laboratories. This Includes Knowledge Of Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, Firewalls, And Vulnerability Scanning Tools.
