Atmospheric Scientist

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Atmospheric Scientist to join the team at Sandia National Laboratories! In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research to better understand the atmosphere and its impact on the environment. As an Atmospheric Scientist at Sandia, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and executing your own research projects, and for making discoveries that will further our understanding of the atmosphere.To be successful in this role, you must have a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science or a related field with a strong background in atmospheric physics and thermodynamics. You must also have a strong background in atmospheric chemistry and aerosol science, preferably with experience in using numerical models such as WRF and CAMx. In addition, you should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team. 8. Assist in the development of new research initiatives.
9. Provide guidance and support to junior scientists.
