Job Description

San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is committed to helping us provide quality, compassionate service to our community. The ideal candidate will have experience in respiratory care, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Required qualifications for this position include:• A minimum of two years' experience as an RRT• Current state license in respiratory care• Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care• Ability to assess the needs of patients and develop appropriate treatment plans• Excellent communication and patient relationship skills• Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals• Working knowledge of medical equipment and devices used in respiratory care• Proficiency in the use of computers and software systems for data entry and charting

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent patient care, including diagnostic testing, treatments, and follow-up.
  2. Monitor, adjust, and evaluate patient's progress and response to treatments.
  3. Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and preventive measures.
  4. Ensure safe operation of respiratory care equipment and systems.
  5. Document patients' medical records and make appropriate referrals.
  6. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to develop patient care plans.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of new treatments and technologies related to respiratory care.
  8. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  9. Participate in research projects and clinical studies related to respiratory care.
  10. Participate in continuing education activities and professional development.
