Pharmacist

The San Juan Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and services to patients, ensuring accurate preparation of medication orders, and providing drug information and education to other healthcare professionals. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is committed to providing excellent patient care.To be successful in this role, you should have a Pharm.D. degree and a valid pharmacy license in the state of New Mexico. You should have extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication laws, and regulations, and demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills. The ideal candidate should be organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications and other pharmaceutical products.
2. Maintain records of patient prescriptions, dispensing of medications, and drug inventories.
3. Monitor patient drug therapies for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Provide drug information and education to other healthcare professionals.
5. Participate in quality assurance activities.
6. Follow established procedures for compounding and labeling medications.
7. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
8. Provide counseling and support to patients regarding their medications.
9. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy.
10. Stay up to date on new drugs and their uses.
