
Occupational Therapist
As an Occupational Therapist with San Juan Regional Medical Center, you will be part of a dynamic, caring team that provides exceptional care to our patients. You will have the opportunity to use your skills and expertise to help our patients reach their highest level of functioning.We are looking for a passionate, dedicated professional who is committed to providing the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university, be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of New Mexico, have at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or outpatient setting, and be highly organized with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your enthusiasm for the profession and commitment to helping our patients reach their goals will be essential to ensuring successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with San Juan Regional Medical Center guidelines and standards.
- Establish and implement treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic treatments and activities.
- Utilize evidence-based practice to ensure best-practice standards of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to meet the needs of the patient.
- Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with medical center policies.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to other staff in the department.
