Salem Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Surgical Services Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate must also be able to work with multiple systems and have a strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance requirements, and the scheduling process. Additionally, they must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities of a Surgical Services Scheduling Coordinator:

• Coordinate the scheduling of surgical services for patients, including preoperative assessments, surgeries, and post-operative follow-up visits • Utilize multiple systems and have a strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance requirements, and the scheduling process • Work with physicians, patients, and families to ensure that all medical scheduling needs are met • Manage patient records, including data entry and record keeping • Ensure that patient information is accurate and up to date • Follow up with patients on any scheduling issues or changes • Respond to inquiries from patients and staff regarding scheduling • Assist with patient flow and bed management • Maintain communication with staff regarding changes in patient status • Provide excellent customer service and problem-solving skills when needed • Monitor and manage time efficiently and effectively • Follow all established policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations
