  1. Perform surgical procedures on patients with sports injuries, including but not limited to knee, shoulder, and ankle surgeries.
  2. Evaluate patients' medical histories and conditions to determine the best course of treatment.
  3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and athletic trainers, to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  4. Stay informed on the latest advancements and techniques in sports medicine to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families to educate them on treatment options and post-operative care.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient visits, procedures, and progress.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Provide leadership and mentorship to residents, fellows, and other healthcare providers in the orthopedic department.
  9. Participate in on-call rotations and handle emergency surgeries as needed.
  10. Collaborate with other orthopedic surgeons and physicians to develop and implement best practices for patient care.
  11. Attend conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  13. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  14. Act as a role model for ethical and professional behavior.
  15. Work collaboratively with hospital administration to promote and maintain a positive working environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Candidate Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution, Preferably With A Specialization In Orthopedic Surgery.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Should Be Board Certified In Orthopedic Surgery By The American Board Of Orthopedic Surgery Or Equivalent Board.

  • Fellowship Training: Completion Of A Fellowship Program In Sports Surgery And Orthopedic Surgery Is Preferred, With A Focus On Treating Sports-Related Injuries.

  • Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Sports Surgery And Orthopedic Surgery Is Required, With A Demonstrated Track Record Of Successful Surgeries And Patient Outcomes.

  • Licensure: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid Medical License In The State Of Oregon And Be Eligible For Medical Staff Privileges At Salem Health.
