
Phlebotomist
Salem Health is seeking an experienced, professional Phlebotomist to join our team. This critical role will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from patients in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a friendly and patient demeanor, as well as possess strong communication and organizational skills.The successful Phlebotomist must have at least a high school diploma or GED, in addition to a valid state phlebotomy certification. Previous experience working in a health care setting is preferred. The successful candidate should also have a strong working knowledge of safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards.We believe that the right person for this role will be able to consistently deliver excellent patient care and make a positive impact on our team. Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood samples from patients in a safe, accurate, and timely manner.
- Maintain a friendly and patient demeanor while interacting with patients.
- Ensure that all safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and OSHA standards are followed.
- Communicate effectively with staff members and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain strong organizational skills and keep accurate records.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new phlebotomists.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and disinfected.
- Perform quality assurance checks on collected samples.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
