Job Description

Salem Health is searching for an experienced and passionate Medical Technologist to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to providing excellent patient care and who is passionate about medical technology. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment, be able to work independently, and have excellent communication and organizational skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Medical Technologist to join a dynamic and supportive team. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) • At least one year of experience in a laboratory setting • Knowledge of laboratory testing methods and understanding of regulatory requirements • Ability to work independently and in a team setting • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely results are reported to the appropriate medical personnel.
  3. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  4. Monitor quality control to ensure accuracy of test results.
  5. Prepare reagents and other materials necessary for laboratory testing.
  6. Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Communicate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Participate in continuing education activities to stay abreast of new developments in the field.
  9. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Adhere to all relevant laboratory regulations and accreditation standards.
