ER Tech

Salem Health is looking for an experienced ER Tech to join our Emergency Department team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide care to emergency patients, assist with procedures, and work with a team of medical professionals. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work independently. We are looking for someone who is compassionate and has a desire to help others in a fast-paced environment.The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical setting and prior Emergency Department experience is preferred. This position requires a current certification from the Oregon Board of Nursing as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is able to excel in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and who has the ability to remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities:

1. Provide patient care in the Emergency Department.
2. Assist with procedures as needed.
3. Work collaboratively with a team of medical professionals.
4. Maintain excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Work independently and demonstrate ability to remain calm under pressure.
6. Maintain current certification from the Oregon Board of Nursing as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider.
7. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
8. Monitor patient vital signs and administer medications as needed.
9. Assist medical staff with patient exams and treatments.
10. Maintain patient confidentiality.
