  1. Provide advanced and specialized nursing care to patients at Salem Health.
  2. Utilize expertise and knowledge in a specific area of nursing to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Serve as a resource and consultant for other nurses, healthcare professionals, and patients.
  5. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Education: Candidates For A Clinical Nurse Specialist Position At Salem Health Should Have A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Clinical Specialization. This Advanced Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform Specialized Clinical Duties.

  • Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Be A Registered Nurse (Rn) With A Valid State License. Additionally, Certification As A Clinical Nurse Specialist From A Recognized Certifying Body Such As The American Association Of Critical Care Nurses (Aacn) Is Preferred.

  • Experience In A Specialized Area: Salem Health Is Seeking Candidates With At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Specialized Clinical Area, Such As Critical Care, Oncology, Or Emergency Medicine. This Experience Will Ensure That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In A Particular Clinical Area Before Moving Into A Specialized Role.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Clinical Nurse Specialist, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Provide Leadership, Education, And Support To Other Nurses In Their Specialized Area. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.

  • Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: Clinical Nurse Specialists Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions In Complex Clinical Situations.
