1. Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients and their families in the Women's & Infants Unit.
2. Utilize strong critical thinking skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for women and newborns.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
5. Educate patients and their families on health and wellness, as well as postpartum and newborn care.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation of patient care.
7. Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions to the appropriate healthcare providers.
8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the highest level of patient care.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in women's and newborn health.
10. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating with colleagues and providing mentorship to new team members.
11. Act as an advocate for patients and their families by addressing their needs and concerns and ensuring their rights are respected.
12. Contribute to the overall mission of providing exceptional care to our community by actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
