
Pulmonary Function Technologist/COPD Navigator

- Conduct pulmonary function tests and accurately assess patients' respiratory function.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with COPD.
- Educate patients and their families about COPD, its management, and the importance of following treatment plans.
- Monitor and track patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Provide support and guidance to patients in managing their symptoms and improving their quality of life.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in COPD treatment and share this knowledge with the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Assist in the coordination of interdisciplinary care for patients with COPD.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for COPD care.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding COPD and respiratory care.
- Continuously develop and enhance skills and knowledge related to pulmonary function testing and COPD management.

Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Pulmonary Function Testing And Can Effectively Navigate Patients With Copd Through Their Treatment Plans.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Certification: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Rrt Certification From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). This Certification Demonstrates The Candidate's Expertise And Knowledge In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy, Which Is Essential For This Role.
Experience In Pulmonary Function Testing And Copd Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Performing Pulmonary Function Tests And Managing Patients With Copd. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Well-Versed In The Latest Techniques And Protocols For Assessing And Treating Copd.
Strong Communication And Patient Education Skills: As A Copd Navigator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Patients And Educating Them About Their Condition And Treatment Options. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Effectively Educate Patients Are Essential Qualifications For This Role.
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) And Data Analysis: The Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Emr Systems And Be Proficient In Data Analysis.
