Pharmacy Technician

At Saint Francis Health System, we are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help ensure the delivery of quality pharmaceutical services to our patients. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with the pharmacist to provide medication and other related healthcare products to patients and health care providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of pharmacy practices and principles, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Oklahoma• 1+ year of experience in a retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy• Knowledge of current pharmacy laws and regulations• Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team environment• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written• Ability to prioritize and multitask• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications to patients and health care providers.
2. Ensure accuracy of all medication orders and provide patient counseling as needed.
3. Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy.
4. Maintain records of all medications dispensed.
5. Follow all state and federal regulations related to the pharmacy and pharmacy technician profession.
6. Ensure proper storage and security of all medications and supplies.
7. Answer patient inquiries and provide accurate information related to medications.
8. Assist with inventory management and restocking of medications and supplies.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Perform administrative duties such as filing and data entry as required.
