Ophthalmic Assistant

Responsibilities:

1. Assist ophthalmologists with routine examinations and treatments of patients.
2. Administer eye tests, such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and ocular motility.
3. Measure and document patient’s vision, intraocular pressure, and other diagnostic tests.
4. Educate patients and their families on proper eye care and diseases.
5. Assist in the preparation and clean-up of ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
6. Maintain patient records and assist with filing.
7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
9. Effectively communicate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
