
Oncology Data Specialist

- Collect and manage data related to oncology patients, including patient demographics, treatment plans, and outcomes
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all data collected, adhering to established protocols and procedures
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in patient outcomes and provide insights to support decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure timely and accurate data collection
- Maintain and update electronic databases and systems used for data storage and retrieval
- Stay current with advancements in the field of oncology and incorporate new data elements and measures as needed
- Participate in research projects and studies to support the advancement of cancer care and treatment
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and researchers, to promote collaboration and data sharing
- Train and educate staff on data collection and management procedures, as well as the importance of accurate and timely data for improving patient outcomes
- Adhere to all HIPAA and other privacy regulations to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient data.
Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Or A Related Field.
Prior Experience In Oncology Data Management Or Healthcare Data Analysis.
Strong Knowledge Of Electronic Health Record Systems And Data Management Principles.
Familiarity With Oncology Coding Systems And Cancer Registry Requirements.
Excellent Attention To Detail And Ability To Maintain Accuracy In Data Collection And Reporting.
