Nurse Technician - Cardiac /Surgical Specialty

At Saint Francis Health System, we are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Technician to join our excellent team in our Cardiac / Surgical Specialty Department. The Nurse Technician will be responsible for providing direct patient care and performing duties as delegated by the RN or other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care and the ability to work well as part of a collaborative team.The successful candidate will be well-organized and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should have a caring and compassionate outlook and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations. The Nurse Technician will be responsible for the delivery of quality care to patients in a safe and efficient manner.Required qualifications for this position include a High School Diploma or GED, current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or a Certificate of Achievement as a Nursing Assistant from an accredited school, and CPR certification. Previous experience in a healthcare setting and previous experience working in a cardiac and/or surgical specialty department are preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide direct patient care as delegated by the RN or other healthcare professionals.
2. Follow established policies and procedures for patient care.
3. Monitor vital signs and document patient data.
4. Assist patients with activities of daily living.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
6. Assist in the preparation of patients for examinations and treatments.
7. Provide support and assistance to medical staff.
8. Maintain patient confidentiality.
9. Maintain accurate medical records.
10. Report any changes in patient condition to the RN or other healthcare professionals.
