Medical Laboratory Technician

Saint Francis Health System is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Medical Laboratory Technician to join our medical team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures for our hospital and clinic patients. The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science, as well as at least two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced working environment. Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory tests and procedures for Saint Francis Health System's hospital and clinic patients.
2. Interpret test results and analyze data to determine the presence, absence, or cause of disease or infection.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
4. Monitor laboratory inventory and order necessary supplies as needed.
5. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of patient results by utilizing quality control procedures.
6. Prepare reports and communicate results to physicians and other healthcare providers.
7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the laboratory setting.
8. Provide training and guidance to laboratory personnel as needed.
9. Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced working environment.
10. Remain up to date on industry best practices and advancements in medical technology.
