  1. Provide exceptional medical assistance to patients under the direction of healthcare professionals.
  2. Maintain accurate and updated patient records, including medical history and vital signs.
  3. Assist with patient exams and procedures, ensuring proper preparation and sterilization of equipment.
  4. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals.
  5. Monitor and track patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.
  6. Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide them with necessary resources.
  7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
  9. Handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  10. Continuously expand knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training opportunities.
  11. Demonstrate excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  14. Provide support to other team members as needed, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Education And Training In Medical Assisting, Including Basic Medical Terminology, Anatomy, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Saint Francis Health System May Require Candidates To Hold A Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Experience In Orthopedic And Trauma Settings: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Similar Role, Preferably In An Orthopedic Or Trauma Department. This Ensures That They Are Familiar With The Specific Procedures And Protocols Related To These Specialties.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: As Most Healthcare Facilities Now Use Electronic Medical Records, Proficiency In Using Emr Systems Is A Must For Medical Assistants. Candidates Should Be Familiar With Common Emr Platforms And Be Able To Navigate And Input Patient Information Accurately.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Medical Assistants At Saint Francis Health System Will Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential To Effectively Communicate With Different Individuals And Provide Quality Patient Care.
