Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine

Responsibilities:

1. Assist healthcare providers in providing efficient and effective care to patients.
2. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
3. Ensure that medical information is accurately documented in patient records.
4. Assist with clinical procedures and patient preparation for examinations.
5. Administer medications and injections as directed by a physician.
6. Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for further testing.
7. Educate patients on their diagnoses and treatments.
8. Monitor patient progress and inform providers of any changes in condition.
9. Respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
10. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety protocols.
