- Oversee the daily operations of the imaging department, ensuring that all procedures and protocols are followed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
- Lead and manage a team of imaging professionals, including radiologists, technologists, and support staff, to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve the quality and efficiency of imaging services, in collaboration with other departments and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal laws, related to imaging services.
- Manage the budget and resources of the imaging department, including equipment, supplies, and personnel, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among imaging staff, providing opportunities for training and education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate interpretation of imaging results and facilitate effective communication with patients.
- Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Handle any issues or complaints related to imaging services, working with patients and their families to address their concerns and provide resolution.
- Act as a liaison between the imaging department and other departments within the healthcare system, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay current with advancements in imaging technology, techniques, and industry trends, and incorporate them into the department's operations as appropriate.
- Adhere to the hospital's code of conduct and ethical standards, promoting a positive and professional work environment for all employees.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role In A Hospital Imaging Department.
Valid Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) In At Least One Imaging Modality.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Imaging Services And Patient Safety.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Manage A Diverse Team And Collaborate With Other Departments Within The Health System.
