- Perform high-quality EEGs in a timely and accurate manner to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
- Ensure proper set-up and calibration of equipment for each patient.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during EEG procedures.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on procedures and answer any questions or concerns.
- Keep accurate and detailed records of EEG procedures, patient information, and any abnormalities found.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and comfort of patients.
- Stay up-to-date on advancements in EEG technology and techniques.
- Comply with all safety and infection control procedures.
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while working with patients and their families.
- Act as a patient advocate and ensure their needs are met.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of EEG equipment.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Bachelor's Degree In A Healthcare-Related Field Or Completion Of An Accredited Eeg Technician Program.
Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (Ret) Certification Through Abret.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Performing Eeg Procedures In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of Eeg Equipment, Procedures, And Protocols, As Well As Understanding Of Neuroanatomy And Physiology.
Ability To Effectively Communicate And Work With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
