
Director, Materials Management
The Director, Materials Management at Saint Francis Health System will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the Materials Management department. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strong leadership, business acumen, and the ability to manage a variety of projects.To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years of experience in a Materials Management role. The candidate must also have a thorough understanding of Materials Management principles, techniques, and processes. A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.The Director, Materials Management must be an excellent communicator and negotiator, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. The candidate will need to be self-directed, able to work independently, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. The ability to work collaboratively across departments is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage all aspects of the Materials Management department.
- Lead a team of Materials Management professionals.
- Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, procurement, and inventory management.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
- Monitor and report on department performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and manage the department budget.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
