- Coordinate and oversee the credentialing process for healthcare providers at Saint Francis Health System.
- Ensure that all providers are properly credentialed and privileged according to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider information in credentialing databases and systems.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and regulatory agencies.
- Conduct thorough background checks and verify credentials, education, training, and licensure of healthcare providers.
- Review and analyze credentialing applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to credentialing processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers to ensure timely completion of credentialing requirements.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to credentialing and ensure compliance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Coordinate and assist with audits and other quality improvement activities related to credentialing.
- Train and mentor new team members as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all credentialing activities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless onboarding and privileging of new providers.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of Saint Francis Health System.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business Management Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Credentialing And Privileging Processes, Preferably In A Corporate Healthcare Setting.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulatory Requirements Related To Credentialing And Privileging.
Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize And Multi-Task In A Fast-Paced Environment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders, Including Physicians, Providers, And Administrative Staff.
