- Review and analyze patient data to identify opportunities for improvement in population health outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care and optimize healthcare utilization.
- Conduct thorough clinical documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Identify and address any deficiencies in documentation, working closely with healthcare providers to improve overall documentation practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulations related to clinical documentation and utilization review.
- Educate and train healthcare providers on proper documentation practices to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends and patterns in patient care and make recommendations for improvement.
- Work closely with insurance companies and other payers to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all aspects of the job.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to other team members, providing guidance and support in clinical documentation and utilization review.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input for developing and implementing new processes and procedures.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to resolve any issues related to documentation and utilization.
- Advocate for patient wellness and disease prevention through effective utilization review and population health strategies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all documentation and utilization review activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare organizations to share best practices and improve overall population health outcomes.
Active Rn License: The Individual Must Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Population Health Or Case Management.
Knowledge Of Clinical Documentation And Utilization Review: The Specialist Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Clinical Documentation And Utilization Review Practices, Including Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Guidelines.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As This Role Involves Working Closely With Healthcare Providers, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Advocating For Patients.
